So....

Because I post semi-frequently on imrubberyourglue and very frequently on my MySpace (I know), I tend to forget about Ink and Calamity. I started Ink and Calamity ages ago to write anonymously about things that were pissing me off in my personal life. Then I drank enough to forget them a lot of those problems resolved themselves and I didn't think what I wrote was necessary anymore. So I deleted it. Plus no one was reading this in anywhere near the volume of my MySpace page (I know) and it felt kind of stupid to be keeping up with so many online presences. I mean, I do get laid.

And then I got laid off. Three weeks ago, actually. Suddenly, I found myself with quite a bit of free time. For a person who has not been unemployed for any significant amount of time within the past 10 years, a layoff is unsettling. It's disquieting. It's a freakout for all those stable impulses you worked so hard to grow up and learn.

So what was a neglected stepchild of a blog can now be something I can use. I figure that if one of my MySpace posts is particularly clever, I'll post it here. If something else tickles my brain in the itchy-dog-belly spot, I'll post it here. I just won't advertise. Because I'm enough of an asshole as it is.
